Who owes what,
solved.
hilut is a simple, fast way for groups to split shared expenses — scan receipts, split fairly, and settle up in one tap.

From receipt to settled up, in four steps
Start a room
Create a room for a trip, a flat, or any group of people splitting costs. Invite everyone with a link or a code — no accounts to wrangle.

Snap a receipt, split it fairly
Point your camera at a receipt and hilut's AI reads every line for you. Then just tap the people in on each item — one line for pizza, another for the round of drinks — and hilut works out everyone's real share, not just an even split.

Settle up in one tap
See exactly who owes who, with the fewest transfers needed to even things out — no spreadsheet, no mental math.

Track it all
Browse your spending history anytime, by month or by room, in English or Finnish.

Every expense-splitting app I'd tried made a simple thing complicated: ads between me and my balance, core features locked behind a paywall, or a UI that turned a two-minute settle-up into a ten-minute chore.
After one too many group trips ending in "wait, who paid for what again?", I decided to just build the app I actually wanted to use.
hilut is deliberately small in scope: scan a receipt, split it fairly, settle up with the fewest transfers possible, and get out of the way. No ads, no artificial limits on basic use, no dark patterns nudging you toward a subscription. Just the math, done right, so you can get back to the trip.
