What is hilut?

hilut is an app for splitting shared expenses with roommates, travel groups, or friends. Scan a receipt, choose who's in, and hilut works out who owes what.

Is hilut free?

Yes, hilut is free to use.

How does receipt scanning work?

Point your camera at a receipt and hilut's AI reads the merchant and item amounts for you. You can always review and edit the scanned amounts before saving — nothing is charged or finalized automatically.

Does hilut move money for me?

No. Hilut calculates who owes what and the simplest way to settle up, but it doesn't process payments. You settle up directly with your room members, for example via MobilePay.

What currencies are supported?

Hilut currently supports euro-denominated expenses.

Is my data safe?

Your data is stored securely in the EU and is only visible to the members of your rooms — never sold or shared with advertisers. See our full Privacy Policy for details.

What languages does hilut support?

English and Finnish, with a switch in your profile settings.

Is hilut available on Android?

Not yet — hilut currently ships on iOS only. Android support is planned.

How do I delete my account?

Email us at support@hilut.app and we will delete your account and all associated data.
